ABOUT PORCHFEST
In 2007, in Ithaca, New York, Lesley Greene and Gretchen Hildreth had an idea: What if we had an afternoon when porches across a neighborhood became stages and everyone meandered from yard to yard, listening, hanging out, and connecting/reconnecting with their neighbors?

PorchFest, the ultimate grassroots music event, was born. 100% run by residents, it’s been going and growing every year since. And in that time, other neighborhoods around the country have taken up the idea (including us).

The event in St. Louis was begun by Washington University students and is now a project associated with the Skinker DeBaliviere neighborhood, which hosts the event each fall.

BANDS
More than 30 bands across a wide-range of genres are signed up to play PorchFest STL 2023. As the neighborhood porch portion of the festival winds down, the Saint Boogie Brass Band will lead a New Orleans-style parade to the main stage area where there will be two headline acts, singer-songwriter Hillary Fitz followed by R &B performers, the Diamond K Band.
